Objectives

This seminar aims to support the student in the development of a dissertation project, at the end of this seminar students should be able to:
1. Define a problem or research question in Psychology;
2. Conduct systematic literature reviews on a research topic;
3. Make a critical reading of scientific texts, and be able to review it appropriately;
4. Design an original research project that is targeted to a specific research question and grounded in the literature.

With the exception of literature search and synthesis techniques, the syllabus of the seminar varies according to the selected theme of the dissertation, involving the theoretical models and research methodologies that are characteristic of the specific area of psychology where the theme is framed.

Teaching methods and learning activities

The teaching methodology is based on tutorial guidance in order to design a research project along with autonomous work in which students conduct literature searches and reviews.
The evaluation is distributed throughout the semester; students must submit the research project they intend to develop in the last year of the master.
