Objectives
This curricular unit aims at complementing initial training in an emerging area, offering students a wide overview of conflict management processes.
This curricular unit is based on learning by experience in a wide range of situations (from logical reasoning to theatre). It thus involves a significant amount of exercises, role-plays and simulations.
Objectives (learning outcomes):
- to identify the nature of conflicts, their sources and dynamics;
. to identify different approaches to conflict management, from game theory to communicating emotions;
- to master logical, communicational and emotional processes of conflict management;
- to master fundamental ethical issues in conflict management.
Competences to acquire:
- to analyses the components of a given conflict;
- to apply logical processes and techniques of conflict management;
- to apply communicational processes and techniques of conflict management;
- to apply emotional processes and techniques of conflict management;
- to design conflict management systems.

The final mark is given based on the final examination (essay).
