Resumo (PT): Este livro reúne um conjunto de capítulos sobre o jornalismo impresso em Portugal. Aqui apresentamos os resultados de processos de investigação que usaram metodologias diversificadas, de natureza interdisciplinar, combinando as técnicas de análise e síntese histórica, abordagens diacrónicas e sincrónicas, a que foram associados processos de análise de textos, imagens e gravuras, técnicas de métodos quantitativos e qualitativos. O objetivo deste livro é disponibilizar os resultados de investigações parcelares que, no seu conjunto compõe a história do jornalismo impresso em Portugal, entre o século XVII e o Século XX.

Abstract (EN): This book brings together a set of chapters on print journalism in Portugal. Here we present the results of research processes that used diversified methodologies, of an interdisciplinary nature, combining the techniques of analysis and historical synthesis, diachronic and synchronic approaches, to which were as-sociated processes of analysis of texts, images and engravings, and techniques of quantitative and qualitative methods. The purpose of this book is to make available the results of partial investigations that, as a whole, make up the history of printed journalism in Portugal, between the 17th and 20th centuries.
