Sobre o workshop
This workshop will focus on writing and reviewing articles for scientific / academic journals. We will discuss the journal publication process, common mistakes in submitting articles, and strategies for successful submissions, as well as for conducting peer reviews. The workshop will be led by Stephen Russell, Priscilla Pond Flawn Regents Professor in Child Development chair of the Department of Human Development and Family Sciences at the University of Texas at Austin. He is an expert in adolescent health, with a focus on sexual orientation and gender identity. He is a fellow of the National Council on Family Relations, an elected member of the International Academy of Sexuality Research, and was President of the Society for Research on Adolescence. He served as associate editor of the Journal of Research on Adolescence, and as guest editor and on the editorial boards of multiple academic journals.
Sobre Stephen Russel
Dr. Stephen T. Russell, The University of Texas at Austin, USADr. Stephen T. Russell’s work focuses on adolescent sexuality, LGBTQ youth health and rights, victimization related to sexual orientation and gender identity, school climate, and parent-adolescent relationship. Much of his research focuses on programs and policies to improve human development. Dr. Stephen T. Russell is currently the Chair of the Department of Human Development and Family Sciences, at the University of Texas at Austin and member of the Population Research Center. Among other institutional affiliations, he is past chair of the Board of Directors of the Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States, and past President of the Society for Research on Adolescence.
