The PhD Program in Mental Health, a collaboration between three faculties of the University of Porto (FMUP, FPCEUP, and ICBAS), is intended for students to acquire knowledge and skills to understand, reflect on, and problematize issues related to Mental Health and its translation and impact on human behavior, as well as, at a broader level, on society and health policies in general.
Other objectives include acquiring competencies and skills in different research methodologies and developing innovative and integrative mental health promotion and therapeutic intervention strategies.
Four years long and with 240 ECTS, the program is mainly for professionals in Medicine, Psychology, Education Sciences, or other Health Science fields.
