1. Surveying training needs in the areas of Psychology and Educational Sciences, with a view to better integrating its trainees into the labour market, and drawing up an annual training plan;
2. Organising training in the field of psychology and educational sciences in various areas, to update and improve the skills of qualified workers who need additional training and/or adaptation to the current demands and specific contexts of organisations;
3. Developing, supporting and disseminating "tailor-made" training plans and projects to meet the specific needs of professional groups and organisations;
4. Organise applications for European funding programmes to promote non-specialised and specialised continuous training for teaching and non-teaching staff both external and internal to the University of Porto;
5. Implementing training activities, both in terms of providing information and in terms of implementing the technical, pedagogical, financial and administrative procedures that lead to the development of training processes.
6. Organising and keeping an up-to-date database with all the information on the operation of the Continuing Education Department and on expenditure and income, actions carried out, trainers involved and certified trainees;
7. Ensure the administrative and financial management of the projects and training activities it promotes.
