Objectives

In this CU, students will have the opportunity to obtain additional information about academic and clinical education, namely methodologies available and national and intenational study groups for potential collaborations.

Learning outcomes and competences

In this CU, students are expect:

- To attend seminars and actively discuss with experts themes of interest in the academic and clinical education area. 

- To become familiar with the topics of greatest actuality within academic and clinical education, and acquire the needed skills  to be able to independently deepen and explore a specific scientific topic, and also to expose, promote and discuss it, in a critical and scientific manner, to their peers and to the scientific community.

- To begin and/or to enlarge collaborations with national and international research groups.

Syllabus will be specified in each seminar.

The seminars will include periodical meetings at the Medical Education Unit, as well as lectures given by invited national and international speakers.

Eligibility for exams

Students must attend at least 80% of the seminars.

Calculation formula of final grade

The assessment will be based on the rate of attendance (20% of the final grade), on the active participation in the seminars (20% of the final grade) and on the elaboration of a critical text based on one of the seminars (60% of the final grade).
