Objectives
The purpose of this unit is to help the student to organize a research project, which will be developed in the master course. This unit will enable the student to acquire the competencies that will enable him/her to write a scientific project.
Learning outcomes and competences
With the completion of the project it is intended that students develop the fundamentals of applied research in the various contexts of academic education and clinical and plan and apply knowledge theoretical and theoretical-practical arising from their education, and acquire the skills and working methods indispensable for the development of original contributions in this area.

The program aims to obtain skills needed for writing and development of the Masters thesis project. Project preparation should include:
Adequate bibliography analysis;
Knowledge of methodologies (laboratory and statistical) needed to develop the research project;
Presentation of articles in scientific meetings;
Participation in scientific meetings (seminars, conferences, symposia, Journal Clubs);
Project writing.

Teaching methods and learning activities
The planned seminars will address topics related to the process of developing a master's thesis, from the design of the project to its writing. This UC will include collective meetings with the students for the organization of the working project, which will serve to monitor the design of each project throughout the academic year, as well as a space for sharing ideas, doubts and difficulties among students. Students will be invited to participate in scientific meetings of the Faculty of Medicine (seminars, lectures and J Clubs), and to present articles (J Clubs). The methodology of this unit is mainly a individual work, with tutorial monitoring. The evaluation will consist in the writing and presentation of a project to be developed under the master's course, following consideration and discussion by a jury formed by members of the Scientific Committee of the Master.
The described teaching methodologies are the necessary for the development of a research project to develop during the Masters course.

Assessment of the writen plan plus project presentation and discussion.
