Objectives
In addition to the acquisition of knowledge, this curricular unit should promote the contact with specific activities that are relevant to public health, allowing reflections or practical activities based on the previously acquired knowledge, through intensive training in a specific area.
Learning outcomes and competences
The specific knowledge and skills to be developed by the students depend on the context and nature of the individual projects. The students should always be able to describe and reflect criticaly about the activities developed.

- intensive training in an area of knowlwdge that is relevant in public health;
- literature review.

Teaching methods and learning activities
The teaching methodologies will be centered in the in the development of the individual project an in the students' autonomous work, under supervision of an advisor, corresponding to 27 contact hours, and a total of 81 hours of work. The methodology can be highly variable depending on the way students and advisors use to work, on how the process runs, on obstacles and opportunities, and also on the specificities of the host instituitions.
