Learning outcomes and competences
We expect students to be able to undertake and conclude a research project, justifying its academic relevance
based on the critical review of the literature. So, students are expect to demonstrate broadbased
the fundamentals acquired through coursework , as well as developing skills inherent in the development of a
research project, such as library research, interpreting data, synthesis, research management and planning,
and scientific communication.

1. The formal requisites applied to a dissertation;
2. The structure of a dissertation;
3. Define research issue and objectives;
4. The process of selection of the experimental strategy/methodology;
5. The time planning of a dissertation;
6. The selection of the bibliography.
