Teaching Staff - Responsibilities
Suitable for English-speaking students
Provide the students with the opportunity to attend innovative research topics as well as to contact and establish potential collaborations with experts from different areas of cardiovascular research. By assisting to these seminars the student will acquire the capacity to sinthetyse and select novel information.
Learning outcomes and competences
Students are expected to attend seminars and actively discuss with the experts themes of interest in the cardiovascular area.
At the end of this UC, students should be able to highlight the main and most important topics of a talk or seminar they attend.

The seminars will include periodical meetings at the Department of Physiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery and R&D Cardiovascular Unit. Lectures given by invited speakers will also be part of the programme.

Theoretical seminars with diverse lecturers (13,5 hours).
Distributed evaluation without final exam
Eligibility for exams
Students must attend at least twothirds of the seminars.
Calculation formula of final grade
The assessment will be based on the rate of attendance (30% of the final grade), on the active participation in the
seminars (30% of the final grade) and on the elaboration of a critical report based on one of the seminars (40%
of the final grade).
