Students are expect to:

1) Acquire basic knowledge on sectional cardiac anatomy.

2) Know main indications, advantages and disadvantages of multidetector computed tomography and magnetic resonance.

Cardiac anatomy on CT and MRI.

Coronary artery anatomy and anatomic variants.

Role of calcium score.

Coronary CT Angiography.

Assessment of Left Ventricular Function.

Flow Measurements: tecnhiques and the application to the valvular and vascular diseases.

MRI in ischemic heart disease.

Cardiomyopathy: Assessment with magnetic resonance.

Congenital heart disease.

Cardiac Tumors.

Congenital anomalies of the thoracic aorta and pulmonary arteries.

Acute aortic syndrome.

CT and MRI angiography of the aorta.
