Doppler studies – basic principles
Valve insufficiency: diagnosis, limitations, and clinical cases
Valve stenosis: diagnosis, limitations, and clinical cases
Prosthetic valve evaluation: main designs, diagnosis, limitations, clinical cases
Ischemic cardiomyopathy: Echocardiography and acute myocardial infarction, mechanical complications; Overload echocardiography: ischemia/myocardial viability
- Ventricular function assessment: systolic function. Diastolic function.

Teaching methods and learning activities
In order to accomplish the proposed objectives students should attend theoretical classes (3 h), lab practice classes (7,5 h) and other (1,5 h).
