Health decision-making is increasingly subject to available information about many factors, from biological or clinical to social or economic.
However, collecting, producing, and assessing the information requires knowledge of specific scientific methods and disciplines developed over the past few years. Examples include the design and validation of questionnaires and health measurement scales, techniques for assessing diagnostic tests and therapeutic interventions, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, and sampling and data analysis in clinical and health services studies.
The course presents three possible specialization paths: "Health Technology Assessment", "Health Services Research", or "Clinical Research".
