SINGULAR COURSE UNITS - 2º /3º CYCLE STUDIES   2016/2017

 


DESCRIPTION


This is a wide scope program aimed at introducing to neurobiology students at the beginning of a neuroscience research carrier. As a transdisciplinary research area, neuroscience requires the involvement of people with various educational backgrounds. The program is devised to acquaint students from distinct disciplins with the functional organization of the nervous system and the general mechanisms of malfunctioning and recovery, as well as the fundaments and application of the methodologies available. Students will be endowed with a wide perspective of neuroscience, which is expected to accompany them during their pathway through doctorate and post-doctorate, when they are asked to deepen their knowledge in a particular area of their choice. Furthermore, neuroclinical professionals will get specialized scientific education, while other students may engage in various neuroscience-related professions such as research technician, project manager or organizer of scientific events.

 

ELIGIBILITY 

Entry Requirements:
Licenciado degree (bachelor) obtained at Portuguese or foreign universities, in scientific domains related to life sciences, health sciences, engineering, physics or mathematics, with a minimal score of 14 in 20. Candidates with other background education can be accepted with the agreement of the Master Scientific Committee.
