The Specialization Course in Anatomical Dissection aims at an in-depth knowledge of the three-dimensional organization, and functional and imaging anatomy of the different regions of the human body, through theoretical study and supervised practice of cadaveric dissection, which facilitates the establishment of anatomical-clinical and anatomical-functional correlations.
It also allows the learning / improvement of cadaveric dissection techniques and their application to the different regions of the human body, with a view to the identification, isolation and preservation of anatomical structures. In addition, it stimulates the appreciation of the meaning of the human body in teaching and research in health, and promotes appreciation of lifelong learning.The Course is intended for internal doctors and specialists in surgical and medical specialties, namely General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, Maxillofacial Surgery, Stomatology, Gynecology and Obstetrics, Sports Medicine, Neurosurgery, Neuroradiology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics , Otorhinolaryngology, Urology, Radiology and Physiatry and Rehabilitation Medicine. Professionals from other areas of Health, namely Dentists, Physiotherapists, Nurses and Sports Sciences and Physical Education are also potential recipients.
