OVERVIEW
The 3rd cycle of studies in Forensic Sciences of the University of Porto is a tailor-made program that enables people from multiple backgrounds to acquire the specialized forensic skills and investigational autonomy in Forensic Sciences, through the development of a doctoral thesis. During the first year, the students attend a short core curriculum covering several emerging areas of Forensic Sciences, as well as issues related to Juridical Sciences, Criminology and investigation methodologies. This common core is followed by a variety of optional curricular units encompassing the main research areas of forensic sciences, which allows students to obtain a specialization in Forensic Medical Sciences, Forensic Laboratory Sciences or Forensic Psychological Sciences.Specialization in Forensic Laboratory Sciences (60 ECTS credits)

Specialization in Forensic Psychology and Psychiatry (60 ECTS credits)
