Objectives
It’s expected that students attain advanced knowledge about Forensic Sciences in general, approaching the diverse and most important aspects of these sciences, in an articulate perspective, aiming to develop their critical thinking and multidisciplinary knowledge. This curricular unit will provide a background of knowledge and a reminder of the emerging topics on forensic sciences, so that students hold the adequate and necessary tools to sustain their practical and specialized learning in the subsequent optional units, as well as to the research they must develop, all in a multidisciplinary perspective.

Teaching methods and learning activities
This unit wishes to deliver general theoretical contents thus the lecture structures complemented with the presentation of casework experience seems to be the most adequate.
