To acquire a base of knowledge in the diagnosis, treatment and evolution of the morphological and functional heart defects in children and teenagers.
Learning outcomes and competences
Congenital heart diseases in general population;
From the fetus to the adult age: congenital cardiopathies evolution;
Congenital cardiopathies embriology;
Congenital cardiopathies “hands on” with anatomical models;
Cardiopulmonary development in the congenital diaphragmatic hernia;
From anatomy to the function: imaging in pediatric cardiology;
Intrauterine growth restriction: short stature and other consequences;
Cardiovascular risk in the childhood;
Obesity, life styles and cardiovascular risk in the childhood and youth;
Syncope diagnosis and treatment;
Chronic renal failure in the childhood and cardiovascular impact;
The arterial blood pressure in children and teenagers;
Exercise capacity and hypertension with effort after congenital heart defect surgery.
