Abstract (EN):
This book features a range of readings based on research and non-research-informed practices on topics pertaining to aspects of language teaching and learning, as well as language teacher education and development related to emergency remote teaching. It will serve to bridge theory and practice in an accessible and practical way, emphasising useful pedagogical implications and future areas of research that can put theory, practice, and challenges in dialogue. The book will open up reflection in the field of online English Language Teaching (ELT) and inspire its practitioners to revisit and reshape their teaching practices and respond to the challenges brought about during the pandemic. Contributions here focus on the application of innovative approaches to teaching and assessment supported by the use of digital tools which aim at engaging learners and teachers in the learning process, enhancing online interaction, and ultimately helping them to acquire the necessary skills required to meet the challenges framed by the emerging changes in the post-pandemic era.
