Evaluation of cardiovascular function in vitro I

MFC18 - ECTS This curricular unit embraces basic knowledge to mount and interpretate the various models od cardiac and vascular smooth muscle function.

Invasive in Vivo Evaluation of Cardiac Function I

MFC19 - ECTS Students will be informed about the main evaluation methodologies with a focus on their advantages and drawbacks, from the animal model to clinical practice.

Molecular Biology

MFC16 - ECTS Acquire knowledge and develop basic skills for carrying out scientific projects in the cardiovascular area that require the use of molecular techniques.

Sciences of Lab Animals

MFC17 - ECTS The aim of this curricular unit is to acquire knowledge and training essential to the practice of animal experimentation.

Mechanisms of Cardiac Injury

MFC20 - ECTS This training will be essential for the understanding of the principles governing the establishment of new molecular targets for the treatment of heart diseases.

Cardiovascular Morphophysiology - Level I

MFC15 - ECTS Using the specif language of cardiovascular physiology and anatomy and its basic and advanced concepts, the program intends to make the connection towards their pathophysiogical, and thus clinical, applicability.

Evaluation of cardiovascular function in vitro II

MFC25 - ECTS The main goal of this curricular unit is the acquisition of knowledge and training essential to prepare and interpretate the results obtained in the various models used to study the cardiac and smooth muscle function in rat and mouse models.

Invasive in Vivo Evaluation of Cardiac Function II

MFC27 - ECTS Students will be taught the main evaluation methodologies, including simple evaluation of ventricular pressure and joint assessment of pressure and volume, including the advantages and disadvantages of each of the approaches.

Cellular Biology and Histology

MFC22 - ECTS Students are expected to acquire knowledge and develop basic skills for carrying out scientific projects in the cardiovascular area that require the use of cellular biology or hystological techniques.

Scientific Communication and Publication - Level I
