Objectives

The general aims of Orthodontic Techniques - Unit IV of the 11th Post-graduation Course in Orthodontics offers the following core competences:

- to Know the basic notions of orthodontic mechanics;

- to develop the straight wire technique;

- to be able to do indirect bonding in orthodontics.

Learning outcomes and competences

The expected learning outcomes of the Orthodontic Techniques IV Curriculum Unit are that the students will acquire:

- the main basics of orthodontic mechanics and can apply them in clinical practice;

- adequate knowledge of the straight arch technique and be able to apply it in clinical practice;

- the basic knowledge of indirect bonding of brackets and their application in clinical practice.
