Objectives
The UC aims to provide students of the Integrated Master in Dental Medicine conditions, in a clinical setting, to consolidate the knowledge acquired in previous semesters regarding the classification, etiology and pathogenesis of soft and hard tissue diseases that affect the oral cavity and that make contact with its macroscopic and histological variations.Learning outcomes and competences

Assistance of patients at the FMDUP clinic by the students under the supervision of the teaching staff for the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies in the areas of oral surgery, oral medicine and periodontology.

Eligibility for exams
A minimum of 75% contact hours are required.Calculation formula of final grade
Seventy percent of the final grade is given through continuous monitoring of the clinical activity carried out by students, particularly regarding the diagnosis and clinical execution of the surgical procedure, 20% results from the evaluation of clinical cases carried out on the Moodle platform and the remaining 10% will be awarded having based on the student's attendance, according to the following scale:
ATTENDANCE
up to 5% of absences – 2 points;
5.1 to 10% of absences – 1.5 points;
10.1 to 15% of absences – 1 value;
15.1 to 20% of absences - 0.5 points;
20.1 to 25% of absences – 0 points;
