Objectives
- Skills in knowledge of relevant aspects of occlusion, orthodontics, endodontics and restoratives intrinsically related to oral rehabilitation;
- Skills in preparing and presenting an adequate diagnosis and treatment plan for any periodontal pathology or disorder, maintaining close communication/planning with other areas of health.

- Review of systemic diseases and habits related to periodontal disease
- Occlusal trauma and Periodontology
- Periodontal abscess and lesions of endodontic and/or endo-perio origin
- Orthodontics and Periodontology (orthodontic movements in teeth with periodontal involvement, fibrotomy, frenectomy, removal of gingival invaginations, gingivectomy)
- Prosthetic rehabilitation and periodontology (tooth-supported prostheses)
- Intraoral and extraoral halitosis (diagnosis and therapy)
- Periodontology and facial harmonization (botulinum toxin and hyaluronic acid)

Teaching methods and learning activities
The Curricular Unit will consist of theoretical classes introducing the content taught and practical clinical classes, supervised by teachers, to apply previously acquired knowledge.

Calculation formula of final grade
Assessment methods include the assessment of practical and theoretical components. The practical component is assessed through continuous assessment of students in a clinical environment (50%). The theoretical component is assessed through a written exam of the syllabus taught during the semester (50%).
