Learning outcomes and competences
Acquisition of knowledge and experience in scenario building in oral rehabilitation treatment based on the data collected and the application of current scientific and technical knowledge, particularly in the following aspects:
Teaching and communication;
Clinical imaging;
Pain control, analgesia, sedation and anesthesia;
Failures and complications in Oral Rehabilitation.

Program
- Teaching and communication:
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with peers, practitioners, staff, patients and the public; Develop and present instructional sessions; Recognize the role of both verbal and non-verbal aspects of communication.
- Clinical imaging:
Demonstrate an understanding and competence in intra-oral radiography;
Demonstrate competence in intra-oral photography.
- Pain control, analgesia, sedation and anesthesia:
Provide appropriate pain and anxiety control for patients attending for non-surgical and surgical treatment on a planned or emergency basis; Diagnose and provide appropriate emergency dental treatment for the relief of acute pain; Advise on appropriate per-operative analgesia; Recognize the need for inter-disciplinary care in the management of pain and anxiety conditions.
- Failures and complications in Oral Rehabilitation:
Have in-depth idea of the main causes of failure and complications, as well as the most appropriate way of resolution.

Calculation formula of final grade
The final grade is calculated taking into account the evaluation of performances of students in seminaries, and their participation in discussions.
