Objectives
At the end of the course, the student should be competent for the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric patients. For this purpose should be able:
- In all areas of pediatric dentistry care for the child growth and development.
- The oral needs of conventional children and children with special needs, from birth to adolescence.
- To continue to acquire knowledge and skills related to their specialty, throughout his professional life.
- To investigate in clinical areas and basic science specialty.
- To work in multidisciplinary teams that aim to child health.
- To teach oral health care for both children and their caregivers such as Doctors Dentists and member general staff of the health care team.
- To exercise the specialty with high professional and ethical standards.
- To act as an expert in pediatric dentistry and matters related to it.
Learning outcomes and competences
Graduating professionals in pediatric dentistry that:
- Be competent in all areas of pediatric dentistry care for the child growth and development.
- Be competent in oral needs of conventional children and children with special needs, from birth to adolescence.
- Be able to continue to acquire knowledge and skills related to their specialty, throughout his professional life.
- Be trained in Pediatric Dentistry and able to investigate in clinical areas and basic science specialty.
- Be able to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams that aim to child health.
- Be able to teach oral health care for both children and their caregivers such as Doctors general dentists and staff member of the health team.
- Be competent to exercise the specialty with high professional and ethical standards.
