Objectives
This UC aims to provide students with knowledge about the medical and dental use of ionizing radiation, adequate radiation protection measures and the various diagnostic techniques and methodologies using ionizing radiation or other imaging techniques. It is intended that students know, understand and are able to demonstrate the most striking aspects of radiation physics, radiographic techniques, the theoretical foundations of radiographic methods, medical and dental pathology and their imaging translation and the execution and reading of images medical.
Learning outcomes and competences
Students will acquire skills and be able to demonstrate the most striking aspects of radiation physics, radiological protection processes, radiographic techniques, the theoretical foundations of radiographic methods, medical and dental pathology and their imaging translation and the execution and reading of medical images.

Teaching methods and learning activities
Theoretical classes - are of an expository nature with the participation of students. They seek the introduction and reception of new knowledge through the comprehensive presentation of the theme under study
Theoretical-practical classes - promote the approach of the themes according to participatory tutoring, centered on problem-based learning methodology. It aims to broaden the scope and strengthen the content presented in the theorical classes. The evaluation focuses on the integration of knowledge and decision-making capacity in case studies.
Practical classes - we try to familiarize students with the themes and aspects presented in the theoretical and theoretical-practical classes, allowing a direct contact with the use of equipment and techniques in models similar to the use in clinical practice of oral radiology.
