Objectives
To interpret the typology of different epidemiological studies apply and interpret different epidemiological indicators: morbidity, mortality, and risk. To identify the main mistakes of research and the main rules of research and writing according to the scientific method. To enable the selection of methods of data analysis (descriptive and inferential) and its interpretation. To be able to determine and interpret the main properties of diagnostic tests.
Learning outcomes and competences
It is intended that students will be able to design and implement all phases of a research study and having a critical analysis of previously published articles.

Teaching methods and learning activities
The lectures are intended for the presentation of Epidemiology concepts and Descriptive Statistics. The implementation of TP classes are used for solving statistical problems with the support of SPSS. They are useful for analysis of published articles, with special emphasis on the consistency of the discussion of statistical methods and research design like proposed objectives.
