Objectives
Provide students with the specialized knowledge of the general and specific risks associated with the development of dental activity, the main occupational dentistry diseases, with its signs and symptoms, as well as the best way to prevent them.
Learning outcomes and competences
It is intended that students get the knowledge on what ergonomics is, how to apply it to dentistry, what are its goals and the consequences of non-implementation in order to contribute to the development of a dental medical activity healthier and safer.

Ergonomics - Definition, history and objectives
Ergonomics in Dentistry: Risks in Dental Medicine (Physical, chemical, biological, ergonomic or musculoskeletal, social or psychological); Consequences of lack of Ergonomics, Occupational diseases in dentistry (musculoskeletal disorders, hands - Syndrome Carpal tunnel, wrists, shoulders, back, eye injuries, skin lesions, hearing damage, vascular lesions, infeto and contagious diseases, psychological/psychiatric diseases, other (respiratory, oncology...), Prevention, Signs and Symptoms; Treatment; Relaxation exercises.
