Objectives

The general goals of the UC General Orthodontic Aspects V of the Specialization Course in Orthodontics are:
- To develop Knowledge related with contention, stability and relapse of orthodontic cases;

- To insure skills in decision guidelines to remove fixed devices;

- To know the procedures of occlusion adjustment after orthodontic treatment.

Learning outcomes and competences




It is intended that the student:
- Have knowledge on topics related to containment, stability and recurrence in completed orthodontic cases;
- Has acquired skills in the decision criteria for removing fixed appliances;
- Know the particularities of the Osamu type maxillary retainer, the Hawley plate removable maxillary retainer and the gnatological positioner;
- Know the occlusal adjustment procedures after orthodontic treatment.
