Objectives

The Course of Occlusion, TMJ and Orofacial Pain II aims:

- The study of the differential diagnosis of temporomandibular disorders;

- Addressing the different treatment of temporomandibular disorders;

- The confection and balance of an occlusal splint stabilization in semi-adjustable articulator;

 

Learning outcomes and competences

Skills development in the capacity of differential diagnosis of temporomandibular disorders with syndromes that have overlapping symptoms.

Prescribe appropriate therapy for the temporomandibular disorders, according to the diagnosis performed.

Be competent to make and balance an occlusal stabilization splint in semi-adjustable articulator.

Be competent to make an occlusal balance.
