Objectives
The general aims of Orthodontic Clinical Cases Treatment II Unit of the 10th Post-graduation Course in Orthodontics offers the following core competences:
- to be able to analyse orthodontic treatments and develop plans for their prognosis and treatment options;
- to ensure adequate clinical experience gained under supervision and properly prepared for the development of skills that allow to perform precision techniques for the prevention and treatment of oral diseases and abnormalities related to the science of orthodontics;
- to create conditions in order to demonstrate and enhance behavior that enable a positive and appropriate relationships with patients, colleagues and society in general.
- to develop the necessary skills in order to perform in daily clinical practice, both independent and autonomous.Learning outcomes and competences
The Studento ought to acquire the ability to create an excellent relationship with the patients, dental doctors and general society.

Eligibility for exams
Mandatory attendance at least 75% of contact hours
Calculation formula of final grade
- Attendance x 10% x + Continuous assessment + 20% Final exam 70%
- The final classification will be expressed in numerical scale from 0 to 20.
- It is approved the student whose final grade evaluation is equal to or above 10.

Statute of limitations:
A student cannot register more than two times in this unit.
Omissions:
This unit obeys the Rules of the Post-graduation Course in Orthodontics and Regulation of the Centre for Continuing Education of the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Porto. Situations not covered in these regulations follow the precepts of the rules of establishment, accreditation and the accreditation of internal training courses in the area of continuing education of the University of Porto. The omitted cases will be decided by head of the University of Porto taking the recommendation of the course coordinator into consideration.
