Objectives

High familiarity with available treatment options in order to formulate an overall integrated plan.

Ranking the diagnostic tests most commonly used

Independent clinical experience in patients: high complexity treatments of Fixed Prosthodontics (veneers, crowns, large span bridges, including changing of the vertical dimension, and treatment of excessive tooth loss by bruxism/anorexia); Removable Dentures ( high complex implant overdentures, including direct placement of attachments) and Occlusion (occlusal splints, bruxism, obstructive sleep apnea).

High pratical laboratory procedures used in fixed restorations with different ceramic systems and in removable, including the placement of attachments.

High aesthetic sensibility.

Coordinate overall treatments and become a leader of a multi professional team.

Skills to critically analyze published data from clinical and laboratory studies and propose changes in clinical practice of the master.

Learning outcomes and competences

The programmatic content fits well to the defined objectives. In fact, to make the consultation of patients under faculty supervision (from different scientific areas: Fixed Prosthodontics, Removable Prosthodontics and Occlusion and Orofacial Pain), the student will investigate all cognitive, technical and affective abilities, and apply their knowledge in an integrated way.

The review of oral rehabilitation undertaken in the previous two semesters, are used to facilitate the development of independent decisionmaking. These monthly presentations are used to facilitate group reflection and integration with theoretical knowledge.

Clinical case treated patient report requires research and use of scientific information critically. Clinical cases treated can still be addressed in scientific articles that can be performed by students.

In less common cases are carried out practical demonstrations by the teacher responsible;

Once a month, are presented and discussed by all students the most exemplary treatment plans of their clinical practice, as well as critical analysis of oral rehabilitation undertaken in the previous two semesters.
