Objectives

At the end of the course, students should: Be able to study a critical and reflective in the field of Oral Surgery and Pathology. Diagnose and treat diseases of the oral mucosa, jaws and salivary glands. Diagnose and treat orofacial pain and oral manifestations of systemic diseases. 

Learning outcomes and competences

Mastering the techniques and skills needed to perform treatments in the field of Oral Surgery. Understand and master the classic and current scientific literature in the field of Oral Surgery and Pathology. Mastering the research methodology on the field of Oral Surgery and Pathology. Being trained to perform clinical and laboratory research. Having the theoretical and practical bases for the preparation and publication of articles and scientific papers.

1. Review of the anatomy of the face. Anesthesia. 2. Surgical material. Asepsis and antisepsis. Scrub. 3. Incisions and sutures. 4. Surgical Techniques in Haemophilia and hipocoagulated. 5. Surgery in Irradiated Cervical Cervical-6. General physical examination and face. Exploratory workup of the oral cavity. 7. Diagnostic aids used in Oral Medicine. 8. Implications of oral systemic diseases. 9. Pathology of infectious hard tissues. 10. Bacterial diseases. 11. Fungal and parasitic diseases. 12. Viral diseases. 13. Allergic and immunologic diseases.
