Objectives
Restorative treatment of anterior and posterior simple and complex
. Treatment of teeth with auxiliary retention means. Whitening teeth in vital and not vital.
Presentation and discussion of different clinical cases in Conservative Dentistry.
Different endodontic treatment in plurirradiculares and monoradicular teeth with degree of difficulty of execution higher than in the previous two clinical semesters.
Learning outcomes and competences
At the end of semester students must be able to treat pacients by the point of view of dental conservative medicine, it means,all conservative teeth treatment and endodontical treatment of mono and multiradicular teeth

Presentation and discussion of the clinical cases performed by students of this clinical unit, during the practical classes, in clinical environment at the Clinic Prof. Doutor Fernando Peres (FMDUP)

Teaching methods and learning activities

Theoric -practical program- discussion of clinical cases. These have been selected and recommended by the assistant of the sector during the practical lessons of the previous week.

Classroom Practice Operative Dentistry / Endodontics
1. Treat more than one tooth per visit whenever possible. To this must be reviewed and analyzed and the beginning of the lesson plan the patient's treatment to appear.
2. Occasionally we can pass the mark of the 2nd patient, duly authorized by the teacher
3. In the case of two patients scored in the same class, the assistant should be notified early in the class.
4. Time expected by the patient: 15 minutes (tolerance)

For recovery of the final grade, in the work leaves is advisable to have the following practical exercises:
Class I composite restoration
Class I amalgam restoration
Class II composite molar or pre-molar
Class II amalgam molar or pre-molar
Class IV restoration or complex anterior esthetic restoration
Class V composite or glass ionomer
Greater restoration with a intrs radicular pin
1.However each studant will be advised by assistent to perform sector jobs that have not featured in leaf of previous semester
2.The radiografs of case reports apearing must be in port films or sheats of acetate.
3.It should be performed absolut isolation of the operative field when necessary

Evaluation
The final classification is calculated by the media of each case report classification with the grade calculated for each student by Professor
The reports must be given to professor 8 days after case conclusion.
Final classification:
n Practice 90%
Assessement 10%
