Objectives

Development of progressive autonomy in clinical reasoning and decision-making ability in the presence of a patient with periodontal disease.

 

 

Learning outcomes and competences

At the end the student should be autonomous in the approach to the patient with periodontal pathology, regardless of age and systemic conditions, demonstrating competence in patient education and motivation, establishment of diagnosis and treatment plan, evaluation of treatment results and reconaissance for the need of advanced periodontal and/or multidisciplinary treatments as well as proficiency in the execution of basic periodontal treatment.
