Objectives

Diagnosis and treatment of oral mucosa diseases, jaws and salivary glands. Diagnosis and treatment of orofacial pain and oral manifestations of systemic diseases.

Learning outcomes and competences

The student will be able to:

- examine, diagnose and document oral pathology;

- diagnose and plan the treatment for the most common oral diseases;

- diagnose oral manifestations of systemic diseases;

- use complementary exames and techniques for oral pathology diagnosis.

5. Complementary exams used in Oral Medicine.

8. Malformations oral and maxillofacial.

9. Chemical and physical agressions.

10. Bacterial diseases.

Calculation formula of final grade

Final mark from 0 to 20 points = (theorical avaluation average x 60%) + (continuous evaluation x 30%) + (class attendance x 10%).

Minimum of 10 points must be achievd for approval. Although a minimum of 9 points (in 20) is required in either theoretical evaluation.
