Objectives

Histology and Embriology I subject has as its main goal to provide knowledge about human tissues utra-structure and also, about embriologic development of human tissues and organs. It is a subject to be taught to second year students. Students should develop skills that allow them to understand cells ans tissues' morphologic ultra-structural characteristics and embriological development. A critical view should also be developed to recognize the importance of identifying ultra-structure or embriologic development changes in some pathologies and their clinical presentations.

Learning outcomes and competences

At the end of this course, students should have developed knowledge, skills and abilities to understand the ultrastructural morphology of cells and tissues that make up the various organs or apparatus of the human body and the various stages of their embryological development.
