Eligibility for exams
Student can’t exceed the pre-established limit for absence and must deliver the planned work. The regime of frequency of UP is applied, look up at UP and FMDUP regulations (75% contact hours).
For approval in any of the schemes it is essential to fulfill the TP work.
Calculation formula of final grade
Normal period
- Final grade = 90% of T assessment (45% exam + 45% TP work) + 10% assiduity
Resort period
- Final grade = 90% of T assessment (45% exam + 45% TP work) + 10% assiduity
Examinations or Special Assignments
For students whose status exempts assiduity the appraisal of final grade will be
- Final score = T assessment (55%) + TP work (45%).
Students whose status allows special frequency system and/or special assessment may request additional evaluation tests during "normal period".
The type and number of tests will be determined individually depending on the missing work and should be in correspondance with regular students.
Non ordinary students who did all the normal evaluation assessments of ordinary students are exempted from special evaluations and works.
We recommend that students wishing to take advantage of special statutes to inform the teacher at the beginning of the semester.
Special assessment (TE, DA, ...)
Students whose status allows a system of special assessment, may request an assessment outside the normal schedule and the different components of the evaluation are safeguarded.
Final mark = T (55%) + TP work (45%)
For approval in any of the schemes it is essential to fulfill the TP work like ordinary students do.
For knowledge of stipulated legally rules for each case, we suggest to consult the regulations according to the following situation:
- Decree-law 358/70 of July 29
- Decree-law 152/91 April 23
- Order n. 947/87, December 10
- Law n. 90/2001 of 20 August
- Decree-law n. 125/95, May 31
Theoretical evaluating (T) - accomplished through an examination consisting of true or false questions and short answer questions in full. This examination will be quoted 0-20 values.
Distributed evaluation (TP)
- assigned on the basis of written work/paper and oral presentation.
The score given is from 0 to 20. The grade is calculated using the following formula:
class participation (10%) + article evaluation (25%)
+ evaluation of oral presentation (10%).
Classification improvement
According to the evaluation rules of FMDUP, the improvement of marks is done at the resort period:
theoretical exam and a subject of work will be proposed and should be presented, maintaining the same evaluation criteria applied at the resort period.
Final mark = T (55%) + TP work (45%)
Observations
Exam review - students who wish to review the T test may do it on the date and time indicated by the teacher.
