Objectives
Diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the oral mucosa, jaws and salivary glands, diagnosis and treatment of orofacial pain and oral manifestations of systemic diseases. The student will be able to: Understand the importance of ̶ examine, diagnose and document; ̶ diagnose the diseases of most common oral cavity and plan your treatment.

1. Introduction to the study of oral pathology. 2. General physical examination and face. 3. Exploratory workup of the oral cavity. 4. Diagnostic aids used in Oral Medicine. 5. Semiotics laboratory. 6. Implications of oral systemic diseases. 7. Malformations oral and maxillofacial. 8. infectious pathology of the hard tissues. 9. Bacterial diseases. 10. Fungal and parasitic diseases. 11. Viral diseases. 12. Chemical and physical attacks. 13. Allergic and immunologic diseases. 14. Presentation and discussion of papers written by students.

A minimum of 75% of class attendance.
Calculation formula of final grade
Final mark from 0 to 20 points = (Theoretical testx 0,45) + (average of all practical work + continuous evaluation mark)x 0,45) + (class attendance x 0,1)
Minimum of 10 points must be achievd for approval. Although a minimum of 7 points (in 20) is required in either theoretical and practical evaluation.

Special Assessment (TE, DA, ...)
In order to be approved, the students need the theoretical and practical component. Those students whose statute allows them a special evaluation regime may be evaluated apart from the regular calendar.
