Objectives
Above all this subject aims is to transmit knowledge to the students about the importance of interpersonal communication on the current society and dentist profession, as well as to promote the learning for the best way to implement the primacy of socio-professional communication, in the scientific and clinic domain. In the course of the subject, the students will have to prepare and make a presentation on a theme in the communicational area, in order to develop the capacity of public communication.

Teaching methods and learning activities
A 60 minutes session, once a week (contact with students), like theorical and treorical/practical classes.
Software
The classes will be presented in power-point so, it will be necessary a data-show.
Evaluation Type
Distributed evaluation with final exam
Eligibility for exams
The grade will be the average of the theoretical and theoretical-practical exams.
Calculation formula of final grade
The final classification corresponds to 60% of the theorectical exam and 40% of the theorectical-practical exam.
Special assessment (TE, DA, ...)
In order to be approved, the students need the theoretical component. Those students whose statute allows them a special evaluation regime may be evaluated apart from the ordinary calendar. Nevertheless and in order to be acquainted with the rules legally stipulated, the students must seek information in the following regulations:

- Law n.º 90/2001 from 20th August
- Law n.º 125/95 from 31st May
Observations
Semestral subject (2nd semester), teached in the 1st academic year of Dentistry course, corresponding to 1 ECT of curriculum scheme.
