Objectives
To provide tutored clinical practice in the field of removable dentures which enables the students to acquire knowledge and experience to: diagnose and assess toothless patients; establish a trustworthy relationship with patients; be able to treat effectively the most straightforward cases; conduct laboratory procedures needed to prepare dentures; stimulate interest in the acquisition of updated knowledge as a means to overcome difficulties when approaching the more complex cases; identify and guide patients with a serious prognosis; integrate knowledge on removable dentures in the broader area of Dental Medicine.
Program
Observation, diagnosis, treatment plan, performance of clinical procedures, request and critical analysis of laboratory support required to treat toothless patients.
Discussion of all procedures with the teaching staff responsible.
Clinical practice classes take place every week and are tutored by a teacher who provides theoretical and practical support and assesses students.
