Objectives
To provide knowledge on oral pathology and on the pathologies that affect the oral cavity.
Program
Introduction to pre-malignant lesions.
Pre-malignant lesions: leukoplasia, leukoedema, erythroplasia, submucous fibrosis.
Pre-malignant lesions: lichen planus, pigmented nevus, glandular and kerathotic cheilitis, tobacco keratosis.
Ulceration arising from the oral mucous.
Chronic ulcer of oral mucous.
Pathology of the tongue.
Benign pathology of the salivary glands: hypersalivation and hyposalivation. Benign tumours.
Malign pathology of the salivary glands.
Benign tumours in the oral cavity, of epithelial nature and of conjunctiva nature.
Periodontal manifestations of systemic diseases.
Oral cancer.
Malign tumours in the oral cavity, of epithelial nature and of conjunctiva nature.
Systemic diseases affecting the oral cavity: respiratory apparatus.
Systemic diseases affecting the oral cavity: cardiovascular system.
Oral manifestations of endocrine diseases.
Oral manifestations of haematological diseases.
