Abstract (EN): We report a detailed experimental study of infrared reflectivity and Raman spectroscopies in strongly deuterated betaine arsenate: BA(0.08)DBA(0.92). The temperature dependence of the frequency of the hydrogen bonds stretching modes shows a different critical behaviour for the different types of hydrogen bonds. At 163 K, there is evidence for the proton ordering in the shorter hydrogen bond. A progressive softening of the dynamical central peak revelead some aspects of an order-disorder mechanism.
