Abstract (EN): The short-term trend of Wearable Technology opens up new possibilities for journalists to interact with users in this ever-changing technological context. We aimed at addressing the reliability of wearable sensors for providing journalists a deeper knowledge about the audience. We developed a single purpose system for receiving and synchronising physiological data (GSR and HR) and metadata from Niiiws app (a portuguese news aggregator), for monitoring physiological responses of 18 users while reading news. Results are promising in indicating new possibilities for content distribution and fostering new directions of research.
