Abstract (EN): We present preliminary results on a detailed study of the rich cluster of galaxies ABCG85. The wavelet based analysis' of the ROSAT X-ray image clearly shows a regular main body with a second fainter component to the south, We have obtained an optical catalogue of 1040 galaxies by scanning a Schmidt plate. Its wavelet transform confirms the roughly regular aspect of the central part of the cluster, with a density enhancement coinciding with the south X-ray emission. The luminosity function for the central region of the cluster, built with 59 galaxies brighter than V=19.25, can be fit by a Schechter function of index alpha = -1.5 +/- 0.2 or by a combination of either a Gauss or an Erlang function with a Schechter function.
