Abstract (EN):
Magnetoresistance (MR) studies have been performed on Fe1-xAlx samples which exhibit unusual magnetic properties around x(c) similar to 0.3, where ferromagnetism sets in (for x < x(c)). Hysteretic, mictomagnetic and ferromagnetic structures are observed and the corresponding transition points are identified in three different Fe1-xAlx samples (x = 0.295, 0.300 and 0.305). A huge increase in the residual resistivity is observed for x similar to 0.305 (d rho(0)/dx similar to 181 mu Omega cm per 1% Al addition). The MR behaviour can be interpreted using a microscopic model based on ferromagnetic clusters, whose sizes vary with temperature within a paramagnetic matrix.
