Resumo (PT): Learning from different cultures provides an opportunity for discovering solutions which can only become evident if seen from a multicultural perspective. By reviewing the issues faced by other countries, one can learn what the common problems are and most likely identify their key underlying causes. In this chapter we review the experiences and status of medical and dental data integration in two continents including the countries of Canada, Mexico, Portugal and the United Kingdom.
