Abstract (EN): The series of articles published in Urban Morphology on the study of urban form in different countries is examined. After reviewing such aspects as the main disciplinary perspectives and theoretical and methodological approaches, it is concluded that four schools of thought are prominent. The impact of each of the articles is assessed. Matters that should be considered in future articles in the series are discussed.
