Abstract (EN): Mesoporous carbon materials prepared via SBA-15 templating and carbon xerogels were tested as catalysts for the ozonation of organic pollutants, and their performances compared to activated carbons. Kinetic results showed that only the combination of the mesoporous carbons with ozone may lead to total mineralisation. The roles of surface chemistry and textural parameters of the catalysts are discussed.
